My Though:
I love this serie! The story! The cast!
There are many ups and downs in the relationship between the character, but thats just the point of this serie.
Nothing is perfect! There are always negative things between it!

Four different case of relationship.
The most love is the one from Yu Lian & Ah Wu and the one from Carmen & Hanns.
'You not only can get love when you are youth but also when your overage'
'You are maybe a bitch and ruined your best friends marriage but there's always someone who support you and love you'

May Phua did a great acting as Carmen.
Instead to hate her character I love it!!
Her bitchy style create many amuse in this serie!

Summary:
The series mainly revolves around the lives of four couples and the difference between men and women.

Steven and Wenjing have been married for 8 years and have 2 children, Wen Wen and Fang Fang. Wenjing is a naggy and fierce housewife who is constantly arguing with Steven over issues such as Steven's gambling habit. Steven's mother, Ya Yu, moves in later and sows discord between Steven and Wenjing, as she hopes to find a better soulmate for her son by bringing Steven's ex-girlfriend, Ai Mei, back into the picture.

William and Ziling are a pair of newlyweds. Their relationship runs into problems when Ziling finds it boring to be a stay-at-home housewife and when Carmen seduces William. The strain in the relationship is further worsened when William finds out that he has a low sperm count and he feels he can't fulfill Ziling's wishes of having a baby.

Carmen and Hanns have each experienced a failed marriage before and have thus lost trust in the opposite sex. The two started out hating each other but eventually learn to give love another try.

Yu Lian has only had a single time of love life in her whole life. As such, Yu Lian is always envious of women who have plenty of boyfriends around them. Little did she know that Ah Wu is a secret admirer of her, until it was a little too late...

Memorable Scene:
- Carmen asked Zhiling for forgiveness. She regret what she did to her, because she stand in the same situation that Zhiling stand before.
- Zhiling though Weilian did something stupid against her with Carmen, but when she find out she's wrong. She went looking for him!
- Yu Lian use Ah Wu to pretend to be his boyfriend and give him money to do it. Only she don't know he is very rich. Very funny their love line LOL
- The scene's from Carmen & Hanns. First it was hate, than friends and after so many thing they became lovers. The scene where Hanns saved money for Carmen was very great!

I continue with my Singapore marathon serie
This time Mars VS Venus aka 幸福双人床

The theme of the drama is mainly to showcase the differences between the two sexes. The show consists of four different couples, each having relationship problems.
This show has been deemed by many Singaporeans as one of the best drama series produced by MediaCorp in Year 2007, mostly due to its good script and excellent acting of the cast.
So I give it a try.

This is my first serie of Huang Bi Ren and also her last serie of Mediacorp!
As 'Jie' I really don't know how her acting is!
Tay Ping Hui is playing her husband!
Many viewers said that his character in La Femme is similar to this one!
Jesseca Liu & Pierre Png taking the second leaders as new married couple.
Jesseca is leaving Mediacorp TV this year!
May won The Best Supporting Awards @ Star Awards 2007.
So I'm curious how good she is in here.

My Though:
Its not my style of serie, but its very teach full about the family.
The connection between the parents and children is very important.
Not only family but also friends.
Love your family! Love your friends is the quote of this serie! ^^

The 3 different story of 3 women, the most likeable is the one from Xin Hui & Quan He! Family support is very important. You can have friends support, but family support is more important! You want the best for your children but you can threaten them!

Paige acting isn't very impressive! Maybe because I started watching her in Crime Busters X2, what was her third serie. This one is just the second!

Tiffany character is so different from Fallen Angel.
I'm not really like her acting in here and I think she was way prettier in Fallen Angel. Is it because her style and her hair?



Summary:

Memorable Scene:

to Min Min. The last one with the tree was the most romantic! Hehe
- When Xiu Hui is avoiding Quan He. Quan He decided to find her. Although He don't know where she is. When he found her. He want to support her @ her side. Although she didn't accept immediately.
- Min Min became a runaway bride! When Xing Xiong leave her, she got pregnant. She know she took the wrong decision and hope she can make it good!
- Bau Guo & Ting Ting hard life. They sacrifice many for their children, but a good lesson for young mothers & fathers
- Bao Yu's Cupcake shop ^^

Another Singapore serie!
This time La Femme aka 绝对佳人
I actually have no idea why I watch this serie.
Except Paige there aren't any favo in here for me!
Maybe because Tiffany after finishing Fallen Angel?

I don't think the story is very attractive.
Its a modern family drama mainly emphasizing on the lives of three women of different traits.

In this case the women are Zoe Tay, Ann Kok & Tiffany Leong
This is the first serie of Zoe Tay after her birth of her second child.
Tiffany Leong's acting was great in Fallen Angel!
So I expect many of her!
She will be pairing up with Shaun Chen again.
This is Ann Kok's first big role as second leader!
Tay Ping Hui will be her husband is taking the male lead!
This is Paige second serie! I haven't watch her first one.
So I can't say how her acting is compare with the first one!

Other stars are San Yow, Desmond Sim, Nat Ho.

This serie contains 25 [boring?] episodes ^^

#1015 The Golden Path - Final

My though:
The serie was a great!
Although I'm not really like the timeline and the ending!
It's possible to make the serie longer but I think that will be bored for the viewers, but in this way the story was to rush in the last 10 episodes.
Everybody want a happy ending, but I can't say from this serie.
I think it's maybe better to give the viewers an unacceptable ending, but that's not what we wish!

View On the Main Cast:
Chen Li Ping: She played very well, but how later in the serie. How less we see from her! The strong acting in the beginning making a little bit disappointment later. Her nomination for Best Actress was really deserve for only the beginning of the serie! Although She played the mother in the serie, but due her age and the other co-stars it was really NOT!
Li Nan Xing:Why he isn't nominated for Best Actor? He was really good in this serie! His co-operation with Cai Pei Xuan & Felicia Chin was really good!
But as stepson from Chen Li Ping? LOL their age are average.
Tay Ping Hui: Masterclass acting!! This is actually the first time I see him in a bad role! But it was really fabulous! Although I'm not really like his character! So Cruel! His nomination for Best Actor was really deserved!!
Chew Chor Meng: My first serie of him. His acting is really great! But wasn't it a little bit too less to won the Best Supporting Actor awards!? His onscreen scenes weren't many but many enough to win it!
Felicia Chin: I must say I'm not really like Felicia onscreen. I also must say her acting and character in here were very good! Her nomination for Best Actress was also deserved!
Cai Pei Xuan: She's my favo and this the first serie I watch from her! Her acting is great! And his co-operation with Li Nan Xing was also great! Her nomination for Best Supporting Actress was really really deserved! Although She didn't got any change to The Little Nyonya's nomination
Joanne Peh: Her role in here was a small one. I though she got more because she's also a part from the family. But when I count her screen time is actually average like the one from Joey Feng
Joey Feng: She's the newcomer of the serie! Second Runner Up of Miss Singapore 2007! I must say she's pretty good for her first performance!

Top 10 Highest Viewership Dramas 2007: #1

Summary:
The story is set in the early 80s. The protagonist, ‘Xiao Gu’, is a young widow with 3 children. Together, the family of 4 set up a street hawker stall, “Happy Restaurant” in Chinatown, selling cooked food. Xiao Gu gets to know a guy, named Ah Jin. Although he seems to be trustworthy, in reality he is a robber.

On the day of their marriage, Ah Jin’s involvement in the robbery of a blacksmith factory is brought to light, and in the tussle with the police, he is fatally wounded. On his deathbed, he pleads with Xiao Gu to take care of his 2 children, a son and a daughter. With her ever optimistic approach to life, Xiao Gu readily takes on the challenge of raising the 5 children.

With Xiao Gu’s capability, she not only succeeds in running “Happy Restaurant”, but also ventures into the coffeshop and wet market businesses. While things seem to be finally looking up for Xiao Gu, her 5 grown up children on the other hand, are either plagued by financial woes or are entangled with affairs of the heart…

Xiao Gu’s elder son, Kaida is a medical student while her 2nd son, Kaiji is studying law. Her youngest child and only daughter, Kaiqi is also an undergraduate. While her own children seem to have a bright future ahead of them, the same cannot be said of Ah Jin’s off springs.

Ah Jin’s son, Jinlong has a carefree nature, and does not have any direction in life. As for his daughter, Jinfeng, she has her mind set on being a TV artiste, and is therefore not interested in pursuing her studies.

Except for Kaiqi, Jinlong has always regarded Xiao Gu and her family with enmity, thinking that she is somewhat responsible for his father’s death and that she has made use of his father’s loot to rise to riches. While he has a secret liking for Kaiqi, as a result of their disparity in station, Jinlong keeps his feelings for Kaiqi to himself.

Although Jinlong is at loggerheads with Kaijie, his sister, Jinfeng on the other hand, is especially on close terms with him. Jinlong suspects that Kaijie has a hand in the sudden drowning of Jinfeng. He breaks away from the Huang family, and goes astray. He joins the secret society, and after some time, rises to be the infamous ‘Loan shark King’.

As for Kaijie, he joins the police force after graduating with a law degree. He makes a name for himself in the police force, after having led a number of successful operations. At the opposing ends of the law, Jinlong and Kaijie’s feud continues.

Kaida discovers that Kaijie is responsible for Jinfeng’s death. However, he decides to cover up for his brother. Saddled by guilt, he soon becomes mentally affected, and is unable to fulfil his dream of becoming a doctor. After her graduation, Kaiqi becomes a journalist. While researching the crimes of the underworld, Kaiqi learns that Jinlong is already one of the underworld chiefs. She tries to persuade Jinlong to leave the underworld, but to no avail as he reasons that he has already ventured onto path of no return….

The friction between Jinlong and Kaijie intensifies. Forced by circumstances, Jinlong has to leave Singapore. As for Kaijie, following investigation by his superiors, he has also gone into hiding. After much effort, Jinlong manages to trace the whereabouts of Kaijie, with the intention of killing him. However, in the end, he changes his mind, and instead returns to Singapore to give himself up.

For the past 20 years, in spite of the various challenges that come her way, Xiao Gu has always take them in her stride. She sells all her properties and donates the proceeds to charities. Together with Kaida who is recovering from his mental illness, she re-starts the “Happy Restaurant” business.

Being ever optimistic, Xiao Gu still stands by her personal belief and dictum: “A day passes whether you laugh or cry. So, shouldn’t you choose to laugh your day away instead?”

Where can I get the newest serie of Singapore!
I'm trying so hard to find it!
I started with an old Singapore serie from 2007/2008
The Golden Path aka 黄金路

The story is set in 1982 and throught the 30 episodes it will spinning 25 years long.
Its a story about the Family Huang & Jin, who embroiled in conflicts of interest, webs of deceit, love, hatred and vengeance.

The cast is big: Chen Li Ping, Li Nan Xing, Tay Ping Hui, Chew Chor Meng, Felicia Chin, Cai Pei Xuan, Joanne Peh, Joey Feng, Nat Ho, Wang Yu Qing, Priscilla Chan, Alen Tern, Huang Wen Yong and Guest Starring Edmund Chen, Joey Swee, Huang Yi Liang.

My view is on Cai Pei Xuan!
She was nominated for best supporting actress @ Star Awards 2009 for this role!
And I'm kind of curious of her acting!
This is also my first serie of her.

Also my first serie of Chew Chor Meng
He won the best supporting actor @ Star Awards 2009 for this role!
Curious of his acting! Because he's already a veteran!

I'm not so into Felicia Chin. So I hope her role in here is better than I hope and was it really a nomination for Best Actress @ Star Awards 2009 worth?
Same questions marks are also for Chen Li Ping!

Joanne Peh is one of my favorite in here! She's only a supporting role!
Hope she got many screentime!

I finished it in 2/3 days!
I really recommend this serie!
Much better than The Peak

I must say I love Tay Ping Hui & Jesseca's story more than Shaun & Rui En!
Shaun & Rui En became very bored!
I think because the appearance of Eelyn Kok!

It became so complicated while it good be so easy
And Elvin as a Japanese was way below!
Rui En performance wasn't @ her best!
As second female leader!
She didn't appear in some episodes or just a little shot!
That was way below!
I still think she could be better!
Shaun as a nice guy is so weird LOL
I like seeing him as a bad guy!
Eelyn Kok always plays evil roles!
She's so good in it! But very hate-able!
But maybe its just the screen name! LOL

Why I love Tay Ping Hui & Jesseca's more?
Because they got Paige & Zhang Zheng Huang beside them!
I LOVE THEM THE MOST OF ALL
But it was so pity that the met around episode 13 and don't have many scenes after!
PITY PITY PITY i was hoping for more!
Because they are really cute together!

After Crime Busters X2 I became a fan of Paige!
And in here she let you see another side of her as a Tomboy!
Really great acting!
I was hoping she won the Best Newcomer Awards but she lost to Dai Yang Tian
Zheng Zheng Huang also a newcomer! Is so cute!
This his first serie and i think he's great!

Very like Jesseca lately!
Although I haven't see many series of her but it's coming!

And there's another story for Dawn & Nat!
Dawn improved a little bit

I want to watch it earlier but i had to finished my USA series first!

This serie contains 3 of the 7 princesses! Jesseca, Rui En & Dawn!
I don't know but if Jeanette became 'a jie' than Paige should be one of the princesses, but i thought it wasn't so she's not a princess 'yet'!
But she's also in here!
The male leaders are Tay Ping Hui, Shaun Chen & Elvin Ng!
Nat Ho is also in it with debuting star Zhang Zheng Huan!
