A beautiful romance story between a human and a 'demon'! The story is a lil bit weird! In the beginning i was a little confused not really understood the story line. The special effect are very good! Like the bridge between the human world and the demon world and the castle from Ashura up side down in the sky.
Female leader Rie Miyazawa have a Dutch father and have a half sister in The Netherlands ^^. There was a short appearence from Erika Sawajiri, who was in the serie A Litre of Tears. She won with this movie [Also for Pacchigi! [2004] and Shinobi [2005] the New Talent Award from Kinema Junpo Awards & Yokohama Film Festival in 2006. Male leader Somegoro Ichikawa won for this movie [Also for Semishigure (2005] the Best Actor Award from Hochi Film Awards & Nikkan Sports Film Awards in 2005

Summary:
Adapted from the successful play, the film takes place in the 19th Japan where a war between demons and their slayers is fought. Izumo, an Kabuki actor with a demon-slaying past, meets and falls in love with Tsubaki. However, something is not right as mysterious marks appear on her body as time progresses.
